Rethinking the crack

CrackBerry, that is. As in the BlackBerry.

I purchased one recently. Why? To be tied to my e-mail at all times of the day, of course. I thought it was a great idea, and it does come in handy at times. My days are always erratic so I'm not always in the office and it's nice to be able to troubleshoot something while en route to wherever I'm going. Needless to say, I've become addicted to it.

However, most of the time, I could do without my CEO's 11:52pm emails or my VP's 2:40am emails. I myself have been known to write an email or two at around 2:30 in the morning. Just last Wednesday night, as a matter of fact. A client issue actually woke me up in the middle of the night and I wrote a co-worker an email, at 2:31 in the morning.

Am I the only one that thinks there might be something wrong with that?!

Anyhooo, I don't mind the random emails so much as I mind that damn flashing red light that I wake up to EVERY morning. So, after I hit snooze several times, I finally roll over, unplug the crack (it really is like crack, if i knew what crack is like, but I've heard it's addicting), and scroll through all my emails to see what I'm in for that day. Are clients pissed? Is my CEO pissed? Do I have a laundry list of things I need to do right after I get into the office? Or, before I get into the office?

Let me just say that my CEO is an AWESOME boss. Hands down, the best boss I've ever had. But this man sometimes finds one time (usually later in the evening) to go through all his emails from the day and respond. So, many times I'll have at least four email replies from either the day prior or even week prior waiting for me in my inbox.

Usually, whatever is in my email inbox dictates how I'll feel as I'm getting ready for work and how big of a grouch I'll be.

I've tried to just not pay attention to the flashing red light in the morning. But, like crack, it's addicting and I have to eventually give in to the urge.

I'm weak. I know this.

How To...

So, I'm not all hip and cool like all the other kids around who know how to embed shit onto their blog.

Fine.

But click on this link, it's funny stuff: http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-be-the-perfect-girlfriend

Here Without You

Everytime I hear that song by Three Doors Down, it reminds me of him.

He used he used to sing that song to me. Late night, on the phone, him and his cute voice.

*sigh*

So much for closure.

Don't drink and drive!

...EVER!

My friend, as we speak, is in Tent City doing time (10 days to be exact). She went in last Friday. Poor thing. Good girl, bad decision.

Moral of the story: don't drink and drive!

Another reason to love Red Bull...

...now with Cola! :D

It's been a while...

...since I've blogged. Almost an entire year! So, I figured maybe I'd start this up again.

So...here's what's been going on since the last time I blogged:

-I bought a house in January in an area I adore and that's close to everything! Love it love it love it!

-Mom's been back and forth to Europe once since January. She's back now and living with me. She tends to drive me crazy sometimes, but luckily her job takes her out of town sometimes and has her working weekends, which means that I can have a life and the girls over for wine again!

-My hard work has FINALLY paid off and I got that fabulous raise I've had my eyes on for quite some time!

-Love life is still non-existant. There was a guy in the picture that I adored, but the feelings were not reciprocated. Story of my life! *sigh*

I think that's all...for now.
